However, there are a few simple upgrades that can be purchased in the game’s shop, but the currency needs to be earned the old-fashioned way (actually playing the game). While saving currency for the upgrades serves as the sole motivation to continually go on new runs, we really didn’t think the upgrades were particularly special. We really just wanted to keep playing simply because we enjoyed the whole look and feel of the game. You would probably never care about any upgrades since the game will make you fall in love with its visuals and immersive experience.

Overall, Alto's Adventure is a great game, unique to an extent with a great emphasis on visuals rather than its gameplay.
